All judges are contracted under the Myanmar Employer Awards non-discolsure agreement

 

A judge cannot vote for:

  • An organisation that he/she is currently employed, contracting or consulting.

  • An organisation that he/she is directly or in-directly in competition with.

  • An organisation that he/she has been employed, contracted or consulted for within the past 24 months.

  • An organisation in which  he/she has any employed, contracting or consulting immediate family members.

  • An organisation he/she has significant business relationship or interests in.

DR. AUNG TUN THET

Former Economic Advisor to the President of Myanmar, Member of Myanmar Investment Commission

Prof. Dr. Aung Tun Thet served as the President's Economic Advisor and was a member of the President's National Economic and Social Advisory Council. He is also a Member of Myanmar Investment Commission, Advisor of Union of Myanmar Federation of Commerce and Industries.  Added to that, Prof. Aung serves as a Member of Myanmar Press Council.   He holds the position of Senior Advisor of the UN Resident Coordinator's Office in Yangon, Myanmar and is a Visiting Professor, at Yangon Institute of Economics; Yangon University; National Defence College. 

MS. MI MI THET (SUZANNE D'CRUZ)

Chief HR Officer, Yoma Bank

​Mi Mi joined Yoma Bank in January 2014, previously having eleven years' work experience a the World Health Organization in Humans Resources. She holds a Masters in Human Resources and B.Comm (Management and Marketing) from Curtin University of Technology, Perth, Australia, as well as a B.A English from Dagon University, Yangon,Myanmar and Advanced Diploma is Business Administration from Thames Oxford University, Yangon, Myanmar. Mi Mi was recognized as Human Resources Director of the year at the 2018 Myanmar Employer Awards.

MR. MARTIN APPEL

Group Head of Human Resource - Yoma Strategic Holdings, First Myanmar Investment & Serge Pun & Associates

Martin Appel is Head of Human Resources for the Yoma Strategic Holdings (YSH), First Myanmar Investments (FMI) and Serge Pun and Associates (SPA)  Groups. Prior to that he held executive HR roles in Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Honeywell and IBM. Originally from South Africa, Martin has lived and worked in Asia including Singapore, Bangalore, India and Malaysia since December 2000. He is currently based in Yangon, Myanmar.
Martin  graduated from the University of Kwa Zula Natal (formerly the University of Natal), Durban, South Africa with a BA HDE Degree, and from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa with a Bachelor of Education (Hons). 

MR. SAW CARY WIN

Chief HR Officer, Mottama Holdings Ltd.

Cary is passionate in learning to lead and motivate people. He has been in many different areas in HR for about twenty years locally and internationally. Currently, he is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy for Mottama Holdings Ltd., in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance.

MS. PWINT PHYU HAN

Group Chief People Officer, City Holdings Limited

Pwint joined CMHL as the Group Chief People Officer in 2018. As part of her role, she also looks after Pahtama Group, Premium Distribution, City Properties, and City Express. Prior to joining CMHL, Pwint has worked in the UK Aerospace Engineering sector for more than 10 years. Pwint began her HR professional career after completing the HR graduate leadership programme from BAE Systems plc. She also held various HR roles, both specialist and generalist, in EMD (a Caterpillar company) and Rolls Royce Plc.

 

Pwint holds a Master's degree in Human Resources Management and Development from Manchester University, UK. She is also a Charter member of CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development).

MS. AYE THIDA

General Manager, Company Secreterial Department - IGE Group

Daw Aye Thida Thet is an accomplished professional in the field of human resources
management with more than 20 years of experience. As a role of general manager at
the Corporate Human Resources Dept., IGE Group, Daw Aye Thida Thet is responsible
for all of IGE’s human resources policies and processes as well as ensuring they align
with the Group’s strategic business objectives until 2018. Currently, she is taking full
responsibility for the Company Secretarial Department with the efficient administration
of a company, particularly with regard to ensuring compliance with statutory and
regulatory requirements to ensure the decisions of the board of directors are
implemented. Daw Aye Thida Thet has joined IGE since 2013.

MS. ROWENA SY

Head of HR - Unilever Myanmar

Rowena Sy has over 15 years of human resource management & generalist experience. Her background spans across Strategic Business Partnering, Talent Acquisition and Development, Rewards and Organizational Design, Project Management, Employee Relations, Restructuring, Learning and Culture Transformation. She has held both country and regional roles throughout her HR career in the Philippines, Malaysia and Myanmar.  Passionate in coaching, people development, and team collaboration, Rowena is currently Head of HR for Unilever Myanmar where she leads the overall people agenda for the organization. She is also a mother to 2 boys, ages 12 and 9.

MS. HUYNH THU HUONG

CEO and Founder of Human Resource Business Vietnam

Prior to Willis Towers Watson and Human Resources Business Vietnam, Huong was a University and English lecturer at the University of Education; Chief Representative of Hotex International; Logistics, Government Relations and HR Manager of ExxonMobil Vietnam; External Affairs, Personnel and Organization Manager of Effem Foods Vietnam (a Mars Inc. company); and Human Resources and Communications Director of Zuellig Pharma Vietnam.

Huong holds an MBA (University of Hawaii at Manoa) and is a Beta Gamma
Sigma member with an outstanding academic record.

MS. AYE MYA THIDA

Human Resources Director, Coca-Cola Pinya Beverages Myanmar

Thida has 15 years of professional experience in the Human Resources field across diverse industries including Oil & Gas, FMCG, and Telecommunications. She is a performance driven HR professional with combined expertise in Human Resource management. As a Human Resources Director of Coca-Cola Pinya Beverages Myanmar, Thida oversees the strategy, management, and execution of HR policies, procedures, and practices for the growth of the entire organization. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from East Yangon University and a Master of Business Administration from Assumption University, Thailand.

MS. WINNIE LAM

COO, Colliers International, Vietnam

Winnie has been working in the region for the past 13 years.  She specializes in organizational efficiency & development and is an expert HR strategist.  Winnie was also the organizer of the first Best Employer Awards 2006 in Vietnam under Navigos Group Vietnam where she was the Director for HR Advisory Services.

MR. VIKNESH NAMBIAR

Vice President, Human Resources, Malaysia, India, IndoChina, North East Asia & Group Talent Development - DKSH

Viknesh Nambiar has accumulated over 15-years’ experience across all spectrums of Human Resource Management. He is currently the Senior Director, People & Organization for Malaysia, India, Indochina and North East Asia for DKSH. Previously he was the Human Resource Director and General Manager for DKSH Malaysia, where he was responsible for functional areas across recruitment, learning and development, performance management, employee communications and engagement. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from the university of Strathclyde Scotland, and a Bachelor's degree of Electric and Computer Engineering from the University of Technology Malaysia (UTM).

Jasmine has dedicated over 20 years working in the Human Resource function in Myanmar Brewery Limited (“MBL”) and is currently the Head of Human Resource in MBL. 

As head of Human Resource in one of the most enterprising and highly admired organizations in Myanmar, she has relentlessly focused on building an exceptional place for MBL employees to work by creating a corporate culture which brings out the best in people.

Swe is currently working as a HR Director of AYA Bank which is the second largest bank in Myanmar. She is leading HR & Learning and Development departments which comprises 108 employees to support 8300 employees across Myanmar. Swe has more than 15 years of leadership experiences in Strategic HR Management in both commercial and non-commercial sectors. She has a proven track record in shaping, driving, and executing people strategy that align with organization strategy.

MR. VIVEK BHARGAVA

Group Chief People Officer - Grand Royal

Mr. Vivek Bhargava has been named as the Top 100 Most Influential Global HR Professionals by the World HRD Congress in Feb 2017 and again in February 2019. Prior to moving to Yangon to work with Grand Royal, he was working with Dupont Asia Pacific for 20 years as the HR Director. In this role, he had been involved in Talent Development across the Asia Pacific region. Mr. Vivek Bhargava has worked in all parts of the World and dealt with people of all nationalities. He is a certified Executive Coach from International Coaching Federation and is a certified facilitator for: Zenger Miller programs, Seven Habits of Highly Effective people, DISC Profiling, and MBTI.

MS. SHWE YEE WIN LEI (GOLDIE)

Shwe Yee Win Lei (Goldie) is a Myanmar HR practitioner with a 22-year solid background in Human Resources Management and excellent all-round strategic management advisory skills for organizational development.  She worked for several different international organizations such as the Korean Embassy, Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts, British American Tobacco, the American Embassy, and Roche Pharmaceuticals.  Until recently, she was the  Chief People Officer of Telenor Myanmar, crafting overall strategic direction of the organization as part of the management team. 

MS. KIM WONG

HR Consultant

​Kim is a HR practitioner for more than 20 years with MNCs within the FMCG and financial services industries. She has seen and worked through the various phases of HR development over the decades in both sectors.

Kim’s earlier career was with British American Tobacco and Kellogg Asia where she held both country and regional roles. Her last professional career was with Prudential Life Insurance Company; where she worked in six countries in Asia in a senior leadership role. With this forte, she now advises companies and HR professionals on the strategic direction of HR function. Her areas of strengths are and not limited to: Organization Restructures, Talent Management, and Succession Planning.

MS. SHAILY GUPTA

Chief Human Resource Officer - previously of PwC Singapore

Shaily Gupta is a human resources professional with over 2 decades of experience across IT, ITES, financial services, professional services.  This experience spans change management, designing talent strategy, organisation rationalisation and contributing to the business vision through leadership development.  Her expertise is in organisation transformation through aligning talent strategy and change management. She has worked with companies like Hughes Software, Firstsource, Merrill Lynch, Standard Chartered Bank and Edelweiss Financial Services.  Her last assignment was with Deloitte Consulting as the Regional Head of Human Resources for South East Asia.  


Shaily is a Board Committee member at the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC), a non-profit organisation "promoting a giving culture in Singapore through catalysing development in volunteerism and philanthropy to build a City of Good”. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of Teater Ekamatra, a Singapore arts company that “spotlights contemporary and experimental theatre with strong socio-political themes”.   

MS. KHAING SU WAI

Head of Human Resources - British American Tobacco Myanmar Ltd.

Khaing Su is currently serving as a HR Director with British American Tobacco Myanmar Ltd. She has 15 years' experience in multiple HR leadership roles, having worked at DB Schenker, Yoma Strategic Holdings, Irrawaddy Green Towers Ltd., and Oxfam Great Britain. Her experience spans across sectors of Logistics, Real Estate, Telecom, Non-profit, and Oil & Gas industries. Khaing Su graduated in MBA (HR Management) from S P Jain Global School of Management,  Dubai - where she learnt practical implementation of world class HR architecture in one of the most robust business hubs.

MS. DEBICA SIGAMANI

Director of Human Resources, Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur

Debica Sigamani is currently the Director of Human Resources of Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur by Shangri-la leading HR Operations and Corporate Social Responsibility.
She started her career in Seagate Technology, where she spent over nine years specializing in Talent Acquisition globally and later on taking various Merger & Acquisition projects.
Prior to her current role in the hospitality industry, she was in a tech start-up where she setup and led the regional talent department.
